Newsletter Printing

Newsletter printing is a specialty of PBD and as we have many different types of newsletter printing capabilities, you will benefit from a wide variety of cost effective choices. Whether your newsletter printing job is shorter run or longer, full color or single color inks, newsprint newsletter printing or gloss book paper for your newsletter printing that requires the most accurate reproduction of full color photos, we have the right press for your newsletter printing job, each with it's unique capability to make your job not just a quality one, but a cost effective newsletter printing job as well.

Newsletter Printing Sizes

Newsletter printing can come in various sizes and page counts, anywhere from a single page to multi pages. If black ink, we recommend the Docutech digital newsletter printing format (actually toner and not ink) and for full color, our wholesale flyer prices from the "gang run". The standard newsletter printing size can be 8.5 x 11" for a page (one side of the sheet of paper equals one page and both sides would be considered two pages). Other choices may be an 8.5 x 14" legal size newsletter printing page, a small tab size of 10.5 x 14" and the larger full news sizes as well.

How Can I Reduce Costs

By using the most cost effective sheet size, as yield equals price. An 8.5 x 11" size for newsletter printing, can yield 8-10 single sheets on a large sheet fed press. Larger page sizes produce smaller yields on the parent sheet, so that a sheet larger than 11 x 17" would not fit on a Docutech, pushing your newsletter printing up the equipment ladder as well as the larger page sizes providing less yield from the single sheets running through the sheet fed press and similarly on the web roll paper press.

How Can I Reduce Costs

(continued)
  • Two color printing is rarely cost effective anymore, as these mid sized commercial sheet fed presses are becoming more and more obsolete, so on shorter to medium runs, you would best be served with your newsletter printing using black only and run on the Docutech (using black toner rather than ink), or take advantage of our "gang run" full color process flyers and booklets for your savings and at the same time you will benefit from full color newsletter printing at similar prices to two color presses.
  • Cost savings therefore is provided by the efficiency of the run.  By considering these factors, it allows you to save money and have an efficient press run. The most economical form of print production for larger runs is of course the web press and run with newspaper stock that comes of large rolls of paper and run at much faster speeds. Your line screen is generally less on web newspaper press, but the pricing is suitable for your requirement of the larger runs. This is most ideal for the runs in the many thousands and higher page counts for your newsletter printing should you require that and we would be more than helpful in that area for you as well.
