Therefore when you use a 4.25 wide x 5.5" high finished size, you will be able to get four sheets of paper from a letter size sheet. If you require your pad to utilize a 4 x 6" page size, then your pad page yield will be two out if they print in the same direction, or 3 out of the letter size sheet if you right angle one sheet under the first two. It is also a good idea to avoid bleeds, where the ink goes to the edge of the page. This is because a gutter is required between images for the background to bleed into it and trimmed off during bindery for that clean pad edge. The bleed on the pad not only requires a larger parent sheet of paper, but has many more cuts (and cost to you) then a traditional "chop cut" pad.
