Presentation folders

What you need to know about printing a presentation folder:

• What is a presentation folder?:  The presentation folder is constructed from a single sheet with the bottom section, usually four inches, folding up to make two (or one) pockets. The presentation folders have glue flaps, usually 5/8" standard that allows the outer edges of the pockets to be glued in place so your materials do not fall out.
• Why use a presentation folder? Because it does two things for you:
• When you have multi page documents, the presentation folders allow you to collate and insert them in the way you require for the best presentation of your materials.
• Should you print inserts or flyers on a regular basis, then presentation folders are a natural as a reusable cover for your materials. The presentation folder allows you to re-use it over and over again. (Tip: never print your contact information on the presentation folder. Print your contact information on your business card and insert that to the business card slits of your presentation folder pocket. This will elongate the presentation folder life span, should you move or change contact info.)
• Other names for presentation folders:  The presentation folder also can be referred to as a pocket folder, aptly called, due to the pockets of the pocket folder, or just folders.  The CD Rom presentation folder is also available in small sizes to accommodate your disk. However, should you need to combine flyers and other materials along with your CD Rom, then the standard 9 x 12" pocket folder, with the added die cut CD slit, is for you.
• Can I get different sizes of presentation folders? Yes you can, but understand that in presentation folder printing, the minute you depart from the norm you will add a custom folder printing die to your costs. The pocket folder, in addition to the 2 panel pocket folder, is also available as a three panel custom pocket folder. With three panel custom presentation folders, it is not necessary to glue the center pocket (a saving on cost to you). This is because with this type of folder printing the center pocket is held in place as the outside two panels fold over it. Other forms of custom folder printing include a side pocket vs. the bottom pocket and the angled cut pocket, either on the side or bottom of the pocket folder. For the adventurous types, you can also have a sculpted die cut pocket on your next order of presentation folders, but note please: the more detail on the die cut design, the more of a cost to you for your presentation folder.
